“My son Aaron put on skates when he was about three at our local rink for a birthday party! What it would lead to we could have never imagined! One of his friends wanted to play hockey so they began lessons together that same winter. Two years later he played his first game in the house league.

A year later he was asked to play travel! Hockey would take him to Omaha, NE for his last two years of high school while he played for Omaha AAA.Then on to Canada to play for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL. Next was Waterloo, IA last year playing for the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL where he earned a commitment to continue his hockey dreams at UMass/Amherst.

Although there have been a lot of people in his corner through all these years to help him get to where he is I will never forget a conversation I had with a fellow Dad many years ago. He told me if our son wanted to be a good skater take him to Erik Nates, he’s a great skating coach. That’s an understatement!! Erik is the single most influential person in our son’s skating ability! But it’s much, much more than that! Erik is a tremendous skills and skating coach but he and his staff bring it to another level!!

They teach discipline, work ethic, accountability and positive attitude!! Erik is a incredible mentor as well!! He believes in his students and genuinely wants them to be successful! He gets to know your child and what makes them tick and how he can push them to be their best!! We are forever grateful to Erik, Tim and his great staff for the work they have done with our son!! They are the best and our son certainly wouldn’t be where he is today without them.“

“Today was my sons first game since doing your clinics in Rye and Iceland and I have to send this email to say WOW!
He looked like a completely different player, I’ve never seen him so comfortable carrying the puck. This translated to him having such vision on the ice. “I just felt the need to tell you about the camp and coaches/counselors last week in Northford. My son has been to a few different hockey camps, and I attended many camps a million years ago. This was a such a great experience for my son. The coaches were phenomenal and should be commended. They were so great with the kids and obviously very knowledgeable “hockey guys”. They brought the best out of the kids and everybody looked like they had a great time. As an educator and a coach, I strive to teach everyone to work their hardest while having a little fun too. Your coaches made it look easy. My son asked if he could go next year after day 1, and the smile on his face while coming out of the rink all week was priceless. He also seemed to improve in a lot of areas in 5 days! THANK YOU!!!“

“We attended the Wake Forrest session on July 21st-25th. I just wanted to take a moment and let you guys know how great your camp is. The amount of ice time, quality instruction and enthusiasm from you and the other coaches is unparalleled. Ryan has been to other summer camps and nothing has even come close to what you guys provide. We also have an older daughter who plays field hockey and has attended numerous college camps over the years. I have never been so impressed with the structure and high level of teaching as what I witnessed here. There was so much individual attention paid to each and every skater. If they didn’t get it on the way across the ice, someone explained again how to do it correctly and if they still didn’t get it they were pulled off to the side for more one on one guidance.
